Willingham Wheels 10th Anniversary Sportive in association with Swavesey and Over Cycling Club
16th June 2019 in aid of Over Day Centre, starting from there and finishing on Over Green for BBQ, bar and rock band. 50 Mile Challenge and
Family 8.5 Miles Registration details to follow.
£20 donation per rider requested for the longer ride (50 Mile Challenge) - waymarked and mechanically and medically supported. Family 8.5 miler with a gazebo with cake at the turnaround point. Requested donation £10 per family.
We are still looking for volunteers for sweeper and marshalling.
Sofa to 50K 2019 - scheme to get people riding
As the “50 Mile challenge” is in June, the scheme will start early enough to give newcomers a chance to work up to that as well.
Lands End to John O'Groats
There was general support for the idea of driving to a suitable point west of Birmingham to join our intrepid member Les for a leg of his ride in May.

The DD is usually held on the Saturday night/Sunday morning nearest to full moon in July. This year it will be on the night of Saturday 13 July. This is to ensure riders have the maximum amount of moonlight to ride in. The event starts at the Pub in the Park in London Fields with riders leaving between 8pm and 9pm; most get to Dunwich between 7am and 9am, ready for a quick swim in the sea or a pint in the village pub, The Ship Inn.
