Sunny Hunny 2014

We had a great day cycling to Hunstanton.  Good amounts of sunshine and the few times we headed into the wind, it was for manageably short segments!
Nigel's route and preparation - with little map booklets for all and his Garmin to keep us on track - was excellent as always.

Robin searched out a lovely pub for us to stop after 46 miles – The Gate at Middleton – good beer (Humpty Dumpty appeared to be favourite), friendly and welcoming.  Well worth a visit if you happen to be in the area. We also passed numerous other candidates for future years. It really is a route worth cycling or driving:

The run on to from Hunstanton from there was ‘rolling’ and although hard work, we made good progress.
Our trip finished as planned at the Ancient Mariner in Old Hunstanton.  A well-earned meal - served with impressive speed - was enjoyed by the riders and their supporters and a walk on the beach (and swim for Les & Paul!) rounded off the day.
Many thanks to Carolyn, Liz, Tess, Wendy, Becki & Emma for coming to meet us at the finish – and saving us from riding home again!
