Willingham Wheels Ready To Roll

New logo will be uploaded shortly.

We are Willingham's cycle club and our mission is to provide a structure for people to enjoy any legal activity that involves a bicycle.

For those wishing to get fit with others in tow, or in tow behind others, there are regular weekly rides to choose from - we meet at the Green on Tuesday evenings at 7.30 pm for a road ride, Thursday evenings at 7.00 pm for a cross country run or a ride along the guided busway to a pub, and on Sundays at 8.30 am for both road and off-road rides. We also arrange social rides for all the family, stopping either for a picnic or a pub visit.

Each year we do a number of "sportives" including the St. Ives Richardson's Rumbe, the Dunwich Dynamo Overnighter, the London to Cambridge, the Cambridge to Norwich and the Suffolk Coast. We also organise trips for the off-roaders to the tracks of Thetford Forest. A tour of the "cols" around Mont Blanc was a particular highlight in 2012.

As part of the Willingham Action Group, we are lending our weight to a campaign to improve cycling facilities in the local area, with a special emphasis on getting a safe track to Cottenham Village College.
Willingham Wheels is a member of the CTC. Through the club, many of our cyclists are also affiliates of the CTC with the benefit of third-party accident insurance.CTC – Cyclists' Touring Club - the UK’s national cyclists’ organisation.
As the UK’s National Cyclists’ Organisation, CTC has been protecting and promoting the rights of cyclists since 1878. CTC is a not-for-profit organisation that is funded through its membership and donations in return for support. By joining CTC you are supporting UK cycling and giving CTC a louder voice when campaigning locally and nationally on the issues that are important to you.
