Minutes of Meeting, March 10, the Duke, 9 pm, and Agenda for the Year

Confirmation of fixed weekly rides. (Meeting place: The Green)

Tuesdays, 7.30 pm, road ride
Thursdays, 7 pm, gentle cross country and/or road, with pub visit
Sundays, 9.30 am, road ride

Ad hoc arrangements deviating from or additional to the above always welcome – just use the mailing list.
Saturdays or Sundays for socials. We agreed the need to encourage those seeking a more gentle ride to get together and come along. Fiona McGuckin indicated willingness to coordinate the occasional casual outing.

The 67-mile “Richardsons Rumble” in April was fantastic. The route from St. Ives to the Oundle area and back was so beautiful that some of us took a van up there to do part of it again, two Sundays later.

Social ride – Peddar’s Way
The Peddars Way is a traffic free cycleway/bridleway running from about 5 miles NE of Thetford through to Holme-next-the-Sea on the N. Norfolk coast, with Castle Acre being the halfway point, each section being about 25 miles. There is also a good network of country roads tracking the Peddars Way for the road-runners. There is information available to read if you ‘Google’ Peddars Way. Details of route to be announced.
